BRICS SKILLS COMPETITION
The BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Competition was proposed and launched by the Skills Development Working Group of the BRICS Business Council (Chinese side) at the end of 2016, with the the Belt and Road and BRICS Skills Development International Alliance as the main organizational unit. Its goal is to establish talent selection channels for the BRICS countries, improve talent training capabilities, serve advanced manufacturing fields, and promote the development of skills in the BRICS countries.
In 2017, China was the rotating presidency of the BRICS countries, and the BRICS Competition became one of the important achievements of the Chinese Council of the BRICS Business Council in designing and promoting cultural exchanges among BRICS countries. The five independent events of the first BRICS Skills Development and Technological Innovation Competition, including Welding Competition, Maker Competition, CNC Competition, 3D Printing and Intelligent Manufacturing Competition, and Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge, were successfully held in China from June to August 2017, attracting a total of more than 4500 people from BRICS countries to participate in the BRICS Series of Activities. Russia, India and South Africa have participated in relevant events or selected experts to participate in relevant activities of the competition. the Belt and Road countries such as Kazakhstan, Slovakia, Mongolia, Ukraine and Vietnam also actively participate in the competition.
